These questions are for the teen to answer — in your own words, not a parent’s. If a parent has been filling out the form, please hand it over here.

The Rising is four days of intensive sessions, honest conversations, and real training. You’ll be challenged — intellectually, personally, and as a young Jewish leader. It’s also going to be one of the best weekends of your life.
2 to 4 sentences in your own words
Question 2 — Your Jewish and Leadership Journey
We want to know what has shaped you — programs, camps, youth groups, Israel trips, student government, community involvement, anything that has been part of your story.
A few sentences is fine. Be specific.
Question 3 — What You’re Looking For
The Rising is four days of serious learning, real friendships, and the kind of conversations that don’t happen anywhere else. You’ll train hard and you’ll have a great time doing it. Tell us what’s bringing you here.

Section 10: Teen — One Last Thing

This one is for the teen. Parents, please hand the form back one more time.

If that’s why you’re here, we’re glad you’re coming.

Colonel Richard Kemp

There is no more effective pro-Israel, pro-Jewish organization on the planet, and I have worked with many. Thank you for all you are doing for the Jewish people, for Israel and for civilization.

Colonel Richard Kemp, Speaker

Lona Lebengrub

My son’s participation in Club Z has given him an invaluable set of skills, the strength to fight for what is fair, and the self-assurance to leave his mark on the world.

Lona Lebengrub, current Club Z parent

Ilan Eisenberg

When I joined Club Z as a freshman, I was finally able to learn what it truly means to be a Jew and that our message as a people is just and righteous.

Ilan Eisenberg, Club Z senior, accepted to Yale for fall 2021

Olga Strongin

The Club Z experience gave my daughter the powerful tools and vast knowledge to combat antisemitism in high school and in college and the understanding that she is not alone, she is part of a community of people that think like her, and who will always support her.

Olga Strongin, parent of Club Z alumna & President, Tikvah UC Berkeley

Club Z Teen 3

Club Z has given me a voice. They have made me unafraid of taking a stand for my Jewish identity, which is firmly connected to Israel. I have found myself taking steps to promote the Jewish homeland in ways I have never done before. My high school, a place that has scared me for years, has now become a platform where I can speak my views without any fear.

Club Z Teen

Club Z Teen 2

Club Z is one of the most inspiring, amazing programs I’ve ever been lucky to be a part of where I’m welcomed and encouraged to voice my opinions and express my passion. I love being able to connect with like-minded peers and learn about the history and current events taking place in Israel.

Dalia Ziada is an Egyptian award-winning writer, peace activist, and political analyst specializing in governance, geopolitics, and defense policy in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. She has been globally recognized for her leading role as a civil rights activist in the Arab Spring revolutions of 2010-2011 and for her uncommon stance as an Arab Muslim intellectual in support of Israel’s war against Hamas in 2023.

Dalia has been active in the people-to-people Muslim-Jewish Dialogue and Arab-Israeli Dialogue for 16 years. Dalia studied international relations, focusing on global security studies, at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University (in the United States).

Dalia worked in leading positions at primary regional and international think tanks and civil society organizations, where she wrote dozens of papers analyzing the geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean region, advocated for peace and democracy in the Middle East, and fought tough political and cultural battles against radical Islamist groups in Arab countries.

In November 2023, Dalia had to flee Egypt, running for her life. During the 2023 conflict between Hamas and Israel, Dalia condemned Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israeli civilians and expressed strong support for Israel’s military retaliation against Hamas. Her public stance led to significant backlash in Egypt, resulting in threats to her safety and accusations of espionage and incitement of war crimes. Now, Dalia lives in the United States, where she is determined to continue her fight against radical Islamists and her activism for peace in the Middle East.

As a social entrepreneur, Dalia co-founded and led the Liberal Democracy Institute (LDI) in 2015 and the Center for Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean Studies (MEEM) in 2019. Before that, Dalia served as the Executive Director of the Cairo-based Ibn Khaldun Center for Democratic Studies and as the Regional Director in the Middle East and North Africa of the Washington-based American Islamic Congress (AIC). Dalia is also a member of several regional and international voluntary initiatives for peace and liberalism, such as the Clarity Coalition and Diplomeds. She currently works as a Senior Fellow for Research and Diplomacy at the Israel-based Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs (JCFA). Dalia authored the best-selling book “The Curious Case of the Three-Legged Wolf – Egypt: Military, Islamism, and Liberal Democracy” (2019) and other internationally acclaimed books dating back to 2006.

Dalia’s next book project, “The Coalition of Odds” explores the reshuffling of power coalitions in the greater Middle East and their rising influence on the historical and renewed conflicts between modern-day world superpowers.

He has spent most of his time there since the present war began in October 2023, entering Gaza on several occasions and making many visits to the Lebanese border and Judea & Samaria.
