Summary
Club Z is currently searching for a highly talented and motivated Marketing professional to join our organization to build and manage a Marketing Department. We are looking for a strong leader and a people manager who has experience with strategic marketing program creation and planning, industry trends research and best practices benchmarking. A key member of a highly collaborative team, you will be required to think strategically and creatively.
Working with the Executive Director, Director of Development and other staff, this position plays a key role in the creation and implementation of Club Z’s various engagement initiatives to build our brand. The candidate must have a passion and be in close personal alignment with the Zionist mission and principles of Club Z.
Club Z has office locations in New York, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Bay Area. The role can be based at any of our locations.
Essential Functions
- Develop and standardize branding, ensure brand and editorial integrity across all media platforms; print and digital as well as social media.
- Strategically develop and organize marketing and communication plans based on the shifting needs and priorities of the organization. Create and develop marketing materials for for key Club Z programs and events across Club Z audience - teens, parents, donors, partners and community members.
- Spearhead communications, campaigns, and events, develop a marketing plan and an advance schedule. Implement paid digital advertising and audience targeting campaigns for events.
- Craft engaging invitations to community organizations for events. Execute all communications and marketing activities in an efficient, timely, and organized way.
- Partner closely within the organization to roadmap, track, and prepare impact reports on program status for distribution across various communities
- Collaborate with the Development Director and other staff to craft member and donor-facing messaging.
- Track all projects, upcoming events, commitments, responsibilities, and marketing calendar
- Conduct industry best practices benchmarking and market research
- Work closely with the website development vendor, creative design, and event staff to brainstorm new program ideas across multiple formats (e.g., video, virtual and in-person events, etc.) and create pipeline and a roadmap
- Project manage across a variety of areas - presentations, video production, donor content, employee programs
- Produce newsletters in collaboration with the Sr. Communications Strategist for robust email subscriber list and audience segments. Work with the marketing and the development staff to regularly clean and update subscriber databases.
- Plan regularly cadenced strategic planning and quarterly updates, create meeting agendas and key action items
- Create and maintain departmental operations manuals for the marketing department
- Crete and maintain a budget matching the needs of the organization
Key Qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior marketing role managing projects is required
- Excellent written and oral communications, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in digital communications, including managing social media business accounts and implementing communications plans.
- Proven project management skills, including ability to: adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced organization, remain focused on project goals and deadlines, proactively solve problems.
- Strong analytical skills to assess communications and campaign performance, synthesize data into actionable reports and recommendations.
- Working knowledge of paid and organic social media and communications best practices in a cultural or media art setting.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fluid environment while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new software and applications as needed.
- Competency in Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, MS Office, Google Workspace,, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or social media management platforms.
Nice to have
- Photoshop, video/photography skills
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, paid, earned programs for digital communications, Google Analytics/AdWords – Social Media Ads

This is an Exempt, full-time role requiring on-site/in-person presence as well as occasional travel locally, regionally and nationally. Applicants must be authorized to work and be based in the US. This role requires travel to our office location. Also open to part-time Educators
